Common questions

How Fast We Get to You

How fast can you get here?

Same-day is the promise, not the exception. Call early enough in the day and we can usually have someone out to you before it ends.

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Weekends, public holidays, it makes no difference to us. Blockages don't wait for business hours, so neither do we.

How do I book?

Call (02) 9023 2087 and talk to a real person, or fill in the callback form and we will ring you back fast. Either way you get a time that works, often within hours.

What counts as a drain emergency?

A toilet or sink that won't drain anywhere, a stormwater gully spilling over in a downpour, or sewage coming back up through a fixture. Any one of those is worth an urgent call rather than a wait-and-see approach.

Common questions

Pricing, Quotes and Offers

How does your upfront fixed pricing work?

You get a firm total in writing before a single tool comes off the van. No hourly rates, no meter running while we work, and the figure agreed at the start is the figure on your invoice.

What does "$65 off your first service" cover?

It comes straight off your first invoice with us, applied once you book the job in. Taking it does not stop you from also using any of the other four offers.

Do prices change once you start?

No, and that is exactly why we quote fixed rather than by the hour. Whatever total we agree before starting stays on the invoice, whether the job takes twenty minutes or an entire afternoon.

What discounts do you offer?

Free CCTV drain inspection with any jet blast, a bonus plumbing inspection wherever the job reaches $200, and a 20% seniors discount. There is also the premium garden tap, yours free whenever a paid booking finishes, and everything here stacks with $65 off your first service.

Common questions

Working in and Around Pymble

How local are you, really?

We are on the road through Pymble most weeks, from the shops near the station to leafy garden blocks further up the ridge. This isn't a suburb we swing through once in a while, we're back constantly.

Do you handle strata and units?

Yes. Alongside the older houses, Pymble has a growing run of unit blocks near the station, and shared drainage lines in strata buildings are work we take on regularly.

Do tree roots cause many blockages around Pymble?

More than most suburbs we cover. The mature garden trees on Pymble's larger blocks send roots looking for moisture, and older clay pipe joints are exactly where they find it.

Why do Pymble's older homes get blocked drains?

Many of Pymble's Federation-era homes were laid with earthenware clay drains that grow brittle and split after decades in reactive clay soil, opening a path straight in for roots. It is a pipe-material issue as much as a blockage one, and often needs more than a quick clear.

Common questions

Who's Responsible for What

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We hold NSW Plumbing Licence #465156C and our whole team are licensed plumbers and gas fitters, fully insured for the work we do in your home.

Can I clear a blocked drain myself?

A basic clog in a sink or bath is usually within reach of an ordinary plunger. Once it involves the actual drainage pipework, NSW law requires a licensed plumber, so ring us rather than pouring in chemicals or hiring a machine yourself.

What is your lifetime labour warranty?

Any drain we work on stays covered for as long as you own the home. If our workmanship fails down the track, we come back and fix it at no cost, and you are never billed for our labour twice.

What standards does drainage work follow?

All our work is carried out to AS/NZS 3500, the national plumbing and drainage standard. In plain terms, it means the pipework is sized, sloped and vented the way the rules require, not just patched to get by.
